Disrupting Work With Alt

There’s a lot of very serious discussion about how AI will disrupt work. Important discussion. Weighty discussion.

I already see it. Here’s how Alt is disrupting some of our earliest users in the workplace:

Three chat screenshots from Alt users at work: dying every time I went back to my phone; hiding out in a conf room because I couldn't stop laughing; scrolling the images whenever I need a laugh between client rejections

Knowing that Alt is being used to disrupt somebody’s workday is one of the proudest parts of my job.

You’re at your desk. Your phone buzzes. And buzzes. And buzzes. Something’s happening. Your friend is making stuff. Maybe it’s even something of you. People are piling on.

You finally get a chance to check your phone – and you burst out laughing, uncontrollably. The kind you have to leave the room for. The kind where someone asks, “What’s so funny?” and you don’t even know where to start.

You compose yourself. You put your phone on the desk, face down. You try to focus again, while your phone keeps buzzing. You’re missing out.

THAT is the future of AI in the workplace. It brings a tear to my eye.
